The Institute of Nautical Archaeology (INA) has a large collection of color slides and black & white prints available for reproduction or for lecture purposes. The collection covers INA's many excavation projects and includes such subjects as the excavation of underwater sites, equipment and techniques employed in nautical archaeology, artifacts recovered, conservation and restoration of artifacts, and ancient ship reconstruction. Placing an Order
Unfortunately we do not have a list of all slides and prints available. To determine if the material you seek is in the collection, we suggest you contact us by our e-mail address ina@tamu.edu or call us at (979)845-6694. As we are a non-profit organization, please note that slides and prints are not kept in stock, but duplicated or printed outside of the office to fill your order. Consequently, service time is normally two weeks for slides and three weeks for prints.
Publication
To publish an image, fill out a reproduction application form. When the letter is returned to INA, you will receive an invoice for the applicable fees and written permission to reproduce the image(s).
Policies
Reproduction. Receiving an INA image does not express INA's permission to reproduce the image, or permit the holder to allow others to do so. INA does not grant exclusive rights.
Credit Line. The user is responsible for copyright clearance. When an image is reproduced, the credit line should read: Copyright or Courtesy of the Institute of Nautical Archaeology/photographer's name (when available).
Limitations. Photographic material must not be used to imply that INA endorses any commercial product or enterprise, or concurs with the opinion expressed in any texts used with INA photographs.
Payment
Duplication, printing, and shipping fees (please refer to the price list) are payable whether the image is reproduced or not. Your check should be issued through a U.S. bank and made payable to INA in U.S. dollars.
