PRESENTATIONS
Archaeological Director Deborah Carlson
presented a paper on the Kizilburun shipwreck at the annual
meeting of the Archaeological Institute of America in San
Diego, California in January, 2007. She also presented an
paper on the ship's marble cargo at the 8th meeting of
ASMOSIA (Association for the Study of Marbles and Other
Stones in Antiquity) in Aix-en-Provence, France, in June,
2006.
Team Member Alexis Catsambis
presented a paper entitled "Three Dimensional Mapping of
Underwater Sites: The Kizilburun Excavation" at the annual
CAA (Computer Applications and Quantitative Methods in
Archaeology) meeting in Fargo, North Dakota on April 21,
2006. The abstract is available

Team Member Josh Daniel
presented this poster on the
first excavation season at TAMU's Student Research Week in
Spring 2006.
And, Courtney Higgins won
second place in the TAMU Office of the Vice President for
Research's "Picture Research" Photo Contest, with
her photo from Kizilburun 2006!
